Free slots after dark

Welcome to the after-dark collection: 250 free slot demos chosen for mood as much as maths. We started from a catalogue of thousands of slots, kept the ones with dark, forbidden or mythic themes — horror, gothic, myth, fire, crime and the like — and ranked them by editorial rating and published RTP. Every game opens a page with a playable demo, the numbers we have on file and a plain-English verdict.

Across the whole collection the average published RTP is 96.28%, release dates run from 2017 to 2026, and the most-represented studios are Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City and Big Time Gaming. Volatility ranges across high, very high, medium, medium-high and low, so there is something for steady and high-risk players alike. The highest published RTP belongs to Slime Party at 98.1%, while Tombstone Slaughter: El Gordo's Revenge has the biggest listed max win at 500,000× stake.

The three highest-ranked titles here are Gates of Olympus — medium volatility, Rage of Egypt — very high volatility and Trolling 1000 — very high volatility. Start with those if you want the strongest of the selection, or scroll on and let the artwork pull you in.

Our ranking puts editorial rating first and published RTP second, so the games near the top are the ones our source data rates most highly. That is a starting point, not a verdict on what you will like — the demos let you judge for yourself.

Every card below leads to a free demo. Use them the way a careful player should: to learn how a game behaves before money is involved. RTP is a long-run average, volatility describes the ride, and neither tells you what the next spin will do.

Playing for real is a separate decision. Taboobet’s welcome package — 400% up to €7,200 + 400 Free Spins at the time of writing — comes with wagering rules, a max bet and excluded games; our bonus guide and Taboobet review explain them. Availability of any single game depends on your region. 18+ only.

One last thing, because the theme is dark and the brand is called Taboobet: no slot owes you a win, and no amount of research changes the odds of the next spin. Set a budget and a time limit before you play for real, and stop when either runs out.
