Under the hood
Mechanically you are looking at a 6x5 grid and wins counted as cluster pays, plus free spins, buy bonus and multiplier. 6 reels and 5 rows give 30 symbol positions per spin, a busy screen that takes a few spins to read. With cluster pays, it is groups of touching symbols that win, not left-to-right lines. Spend your first minute in the Rainbow Princess demo on the paytable rather than the spin button — it pays off later.
The bonus mechanics
The feature set is where a slot shows its character. In Rainbow Princess the key pieces are:
- Free Spins. The free-spins bonus is the game’s main event: land the trigger and you get a batch of spins at no extra cost per spin.
- Buy Bonus. Pay a set multiple of your bet and you go straight to the feature — fast, costly, and usually not allowed on bonus money.
- Multiplier. Multipliers scale a win up by a stated factor; how and when they appear is set out in the paytable.
- Wild. Wilds stand in for regular symbols to help complete wins.
Reading the specs
On paper Rainbow Princess returns 96.36% of stakes over time, right around the usual 96% benchmark; the remaining 3.64% is the house edge baked into the maths. The version a casino runs can differ from the published figure — the in-game info screen is the source of truth. It is rated high for volatility, which in practice means rarer wins that tend to be larger, with real swings in between. Rainbow Princess caps wins at 10,000× your bet. It sets the tone for what the game is chasing, but it is a rare outcome.
Who it suits
On paper, Rainbow Princess suits experienced players with a budget sized for variance. If you are drawn to fantasy slots, the styling alone makes it worth a demo session. Impatient? Rainbow Princess lets you buy the feature outright. That shortcut is pricey, and most welcome-bonus terms forbid it while wagering is open. A hundred demo spins on Rainbow Princess will show you more about its temperament than any review can.
Playing it with the welcome bonus
We filed Rainbow Princess under Taboobet’s after-dark picks: a slot with the right kind of shadows for a brand built on ember and amber. If you want to take it further, Taboobet’s welcome package currently reads 400% up to €7,200 + 400 Free Spins (over your first 4 deposits, from €31.40 (ca$55) each · 30x (deposit + bonus) wagering). Free spins are credited on the slots Taboobet names in the offer, which may or may not include Rainbow Princess; bonus funds usually can be played on most slots, subject to the wagering, max-bet and excluded-games rules.
Availability varies by country, so look the game up in the lobby before you play for real. Our free spins explainer covers how spin winnings convert.
Our verdict
Rainbow Princess earns its place on the after-dark list through its atmosphere and a high-volatility profile that is honest about the ride. Play the demo, decide whether the rhythm suits you, and only then think about real stakes.
